Philipp Kellner is part of our team since 2024 and acts in all areas of criminal law.

Philipp developed a passion for criminal defence in an early stage of his studies at Ludwig Maximilian University Munich.

This commitment developed further in internships at the criminal department of the Munich Local Court and at a distinguished criminal law boutique. Philipp gained further expertise in German, European, and International Criminal Law as a research assistant at Prof. Dr. Helmut Satzger’s chair at LMU Munich. He contributed to various criminal legal publications in this field.

Throughout his traineeship within the jurisdiction of the Higher Regional Court of Celle (Lower Saxony), Philipp deepened his expertise in criminal law and completed internships at the Glasmoor Prison (Hamburg), the Stade Public Prosecutor’s Office and a renowned Hamburg criminal law firm.

After successfully completing his Second State Examination, Mr. Kellner engaged in a PhD dissertation at the University of Cologne in which he focused on the complex issue of retrial in criminal matters. During his doctoral studies, he worked as a legal assistant at a highly reputed multidisciplinary commercial law firm in the field of life science & healthcare and in a leading international law firm in the field of litigation.

Mr. Kellner was recognized as a scholarship recipient of the Deutschland Stipendium throughout his studies.
